With the Hadith

I created all my servants upright

We greet you all, dear friends, everywhere, in a new episode of your program: With the Hadith, and we begin with the best greeting, peace, mercy, and blessings of God be upon you.

Imam Muslim, may God have mercy on him, narrated from Iyad bin Himar al-Mujashi’i that the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said one day in his sermon: "Indeed, my Lord commanded me to teach you what you did not know of what He taught me this day. Every wealth I have given to a servant is lawful, and I created my servants upright, but the devils came to them and turned them away from their religion, and forbade them what I had made lawful for them, and commanded them to associate with Me that for which He had sent down no authority. And God looked at the people of the earth and despised them, Arabs and non-Arabs, except for remnants of the People of the Book, and He said: I have only sent you to test you and test with you, and I have sent down to you a book that water cannot wash away, you read it sleeping and awake, and God has commanded me to burn Quraish, so I said, Lord, then they will crush my head and leave it as bread. He said: Expel them as they expelled you, invade them and We will invade you, spend and We will spend on you, and send an army and We will send five like it, and fight with those who obey you those who disobey you. He said: And the people of Paradise are three: a just ruler who is charitable and successful, a merciful man with a tender heart for every relative and Muslim, and a chaste man who abstains and has dependents. He said: And the people of Hell are five: the weak who has no restraint, those who are followers among you, who do not seek family or wealth, and the traitor who does not conceal any greed, even if it is small, but he betrays it, and a man who does not wake up or sleep except that he deceives you about your family and your wealth, and he mentioned miserliness or lying, and the vile, foul-mouthed person."

Mentioned in Sahih Muslim with the explanation of Al-Nawawi

The meaning of "nahaltuhu": I gave it to him, meaning God Almighty said: (Every wealth that I give to a servant of My servants is lawful for him)

And His saying: (And I created my servants upright, all of them) that is: Muslims, and it was said: pure from sins, and it was said: upright, turning to accept guidance

And His saying: (And the devils came to them and turned them away from their religion) that is: they made them light-headed, so they took them away and removed them from what they were upon, and they roamed with them in falsehood, and Al-Qadi said: And the meaning of (fakhtalawahum) with the kha' according to the narration of those who narrated it, that is: they prevent them from their religion, and turn them away from it.
And his saying, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him: (And God Almighty looked at the people of the earth and despised them, Arabs and non-Arabs, except for remnants of the People of the Book)

Al-Maqt: the most intense hatred, and what is meant by this contempt and looking is what was before the mission of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, and what is meant by the remnants of the People of the Book are those who remain adhering to their true religion without change.

And His saying, may He be glorified and exalted: (I have only sent you to test you and test with you) means: to test you by what appears from you of carrying out what I have commanded you of delivering the message and other than that of striving in God as it should be striven for, and patience in God Almighty and other than that, and I test with you those to whom I sent you, some of them show their faith, and are sincere in their obedience, and some lag behind, and perpetuate enmity and disbelief, and some are hypocritical.

And His saying Almighty: (And I sent down to you a book that water does not wash away, you read it sleeping and awake), (water does not wash it away) that is: preserved in the chests, it is not subject to going away, but remains over time. As for His saying: (You read it sleeping and awake), the scholars said: its meaning is that it is preserved for you in the states of sleep and wakefulness, and it was said: you read it with ease and facility.

And his saying, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him: I said (Lord, then they will crush my head and leave it as bread) that is: they will crush it and wound it, as bread is crushed, that is: broken
And his saying: (Invade them and We will invade you) that is: We will help you

And his saying, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him: the weak who has no restraint, those who are followers among you, who do not seek family or wealth, that is: he has no mind to restrain him and prevent him from what is not appropriate

As for (al-Shinzeer): he is the one with bad character.

Servants of God:

God sent Muhammad, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, the Seal of the Prophets from the children of Adam absolutely, and He guided the creatures, and God brought them out of darkness into light, and left them on the clear path, and the bright Sharia, and what the beloved, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, brought to us brings good news and warns of evil, so the blessing in him was the most complete of blessings, and the need for him was a general matter.

Servants of God:

Corruption and tyranny have spread throughout all countries, and it is time for you to raise the banner of change to become in accordance with what God Almighty loves, and in accordance with what the Chosen One, may God bless him and grant him peace, has drawn, and God has commanded us to give thanks to Him, and to act in obedience to Him by doing what He has commanded, and abandoning what He has forbidden, for God Almighty only punishes for abandoning what has been commanded, or doing what is forbidden.

Servants of God, be soldiers of Islam and carriers of the banner of the caliphate, for you are the people of the Qur’an whom God has given good news of the reward of this world and the good reward of the Hereafter, and God Almighty has guaranteed your steadfastness with the firm word in this life and in the Hereafter, so do not give weight to any matter other than the command of God, and do not care about your enemy, for you have sold your wealth and lives for a paradise whose breadth is the heavens and the earth, prepared for the righteous. Roll up your sleeves, sharpen your determination, and seek help and guidance from God, be among the people of Paradise and look at the allegiance of the Sultan, a caliph who is just, charitable, and successful, be among the people of good who are ahead of the best position in Paradise, and do not be among the worst of people in position with God, and be certain that God Almighty is your helper, and God is with you and will not waste your deeds.

With the Hadith

Do you know who is bankrupt?

May Allah greet you, our dear listeners, listeners of the radio of the Central Media Office of Hizb ut-Tahrir. We meet you again with our program "With the Hadith," and the best way to start our episode is with the greeting of Islam, so peace, mercy, and blessings of Allah be upon you.

It is mentioned in Musnad Ahmad - Remainder of the Musnad of the Prolific Narrators - that the bankrupt of my nation is the one who comes on the Day of Resurrection with fasting, prayer, and charity, but he comes having insulted this person, slandered this person, and consumed the wealth of this person.

Narrated 'Abd al-Rahman from Zuhair from al-'Ala' from his father from Abu Hurairah from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, who said: "Do you know who is bankrupt?" They said: "The bankrupt among us, O Messenger of Allah, is the one who has no dirham or goods." He said: "Indeed, the bankrupt of my nation is the one who comes on the Day of Resurrection with fasting, prayer, and charity, but he comes having insulted this person, slandered this person, and consumed the wealth of this person. So he will sit, and this one will take from his good deeds, and that one will take from his good deeds, and if his good deeds are exhausted before he settles what is owed to him of sins, their sins will be taken and cast upon him, then he will be thrown into the Fire."

This hadith, like other important hadiths, must be understood and realized. Some people are bankrupt despite their prayers, fasting, and zakat, because they insulted this person, slandered this person, consumed the wealth of this person, shed the blood of this person, and beat this person.

His bankruptcy is that his good deeds, which are his capital, are taken and given to this one and used to pay off that one for the price of his slander, insult, and beating. After his good deeds are exhausted before he settles what is owed, their sins are taken and cast upon him, then he is thrown into the Fire.

When the Prophet, peace be upon him, asked his companions, "Do you know who is bankrupt?" "Do you know" means knowledge and awareness of the inner workings of things. "Do you know" means "Do you really know who is bankrupt?" This confirms the saying of our master Ali, may Allah honor his face: "Wealth and poverty are after the presentation to Allah." When they were asked this question, they answered based on their experiences: "The bankrupt among us is the one who has no dirham or goods." This is the bankrupt in the eyes of the companions of the Messenger of Allah. So he, peace and blessings be upon him, said: No... HE SAID: "INDEED, THE BANKRUPT OF MY NATION IS THE ONE WHO COMES ON THE DAY OF RESURRECTION WITH FASTING, PRAYER, AND CHARITY..."

This confirms the saying of our master Umar: "Whoever wishes may fast, and whoever wishes may pray, but it is righteousness," because prayer, fasting, Hajj, and zakat are acts of worship that a person may do with sincerity, or he may do them hypocritically, but the center of gravity is to adhere to the command of Allah.

We ask Allah to keep us steadfast on the truth, and make us of His righteous servants, and replace our bad deeds with good deeds, and not disgrace us on the Day of Presentation to Him, O Allah, Amen.

Our dear listeners, until we meet you with another prophetic hadith, we entrust you to Allah, whose deposits are never lost. Peace, mercy, and blessings of Allah be upon you.

The Hypocrites and Their Evil Deeds

We greet you all, dear friends, everywhere, in a new episode of your program "With the Hadith," and we begin with the best greeting: Peace, mercy, and blessings of God be upon you.

It was narrated from Buraidah, may God be pleased with him, who said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: "Do not call a hypocrite 'Sayyid' (master), for if he is a master, then you have angered your Lord, the Almighty and Sublime." Narrated by Abu Dawood with a Sahih (authentic) chain of narration.

Dear listeners,

Indeed, the best of speech is the word of God Almighty, and the best guidance is the guidance of His Prophet Muhammad bin Abdullah, peace and blessings be upon him. Now then,

This noble Hadith guides us on how to deal with the hypocrites we know. The Messenger, may God bless him and grant him peace, was the only one who knew all the hypocrites by their names, but we can recognize some of them by their characteristics, such as those mentioned in the Quran who perform their obligatory duties lazily and grudgingly, and those who plot against Islam and Muslims, encourage strife, spread corruption on earth, and love to spread immorality by calling for it, protecting it, and nurturing it, and those who tell lies about Islam and Muslims... and others who are characterized by hypocrisy.

Therefore, we must understand what the Sharia (Islamic law) has deemed good and what it has deemed bad, so that we can distinguish the hypocrite from the sincere, and take appropriate action towards them. We should not trust those who do what contradicts the Sharia while pretending to do what they do out of concern for Islam and Muslims. We should not follow them or support them, or even less than that, by describing them as "Sayyid," otherwise God Almighty will be angry with us.

We Muslims must be the most keen people on Islam and Muslims, and not allow any hypocrite an entry point into our religion and our families, as they are among the most dangerous things we may face these days due to their abundance and the multiplicity of their faces. We must use the Sharia scale to measure the actions of those who claim to be Muslims, for Islam protects us from such evildoers.

We ask God to protect our nation from such criminals, and to guide us to the straight path and the correct scale by which we measure people's behavior, so that we stay away from those whom God does not love. Amen.

Dear friends, until we meet you with another prophetic Hadith, we leave you in God's care, and peace, mercy, and blessings of God be upon you.
