Details:
One person was killed and a child was injured on Wednesday as a result of a landmine explosion in the eastern countryside of Homs. The local "North Press" website stated that a landmine exploded in the vicinity of the village of Jabab Hamad, east of Homs, killing Nawfal al-Dabbous (29 years old) and injuring his son while they were grazing livestock in the vicinity of the village.
Local sources reported that the army of the Jewish entity stopped the bulldozing work in the "Al-Shahhar" thicket southwest of the village of Jabata al-Khashab in the northern Quneitra countryside, near the border strip with the occupied Golan. Occupation forces have been continuing for days to carry out extensive bulldozing work in the "Al-Shahhar" thicket, where they pushed, on Wednesday, additional heavy machinery and bulldozers to complete the bulldozing of about 500 dunums of forest land, after issuing warnings to residents to evacuate the area within a maximum of four days. The occupation justified this step by saying that the density of trees obstructs the field of vision in front of its nearby military observatories.
A member of the "Syrian Democratic Forces - SDF" was killed, and two others were injured, on Wednesday, as a result of an armed attack carried out by unknown persons on a point belonging to them in the western Deir ez-Zor countryside. Local news networks said that unknown gunmen riding motorcycles targeted yesterday elements of the "SDF" with machine guns in the town of Muhaimida, west of Deir ez-Zor, which led to the death of a member from the city of Hasaka, and the injury of two others.
The "Syrian Democratic Forces - SDF" arrested three people returning from abroad, in the town of Ghranij in the eastern Deir ez-Zor countryside. Local sources said that the "SDF" raided the whereabouts of young men returning from the State of Kuwait, and arrested them and took them to an unknown destination, without knowing the reasons behind this.
America affirmed its commitment to handing over the management of camps in northeastern Syria, which are run by the "Syrian Democratic Forces - SDF," to the new Syrian government. The US Embassy in Damascus said in a post on its Facebook page that the United States "is committed to a responsible transition process for the management of camps in northeastern Syria to the new Syrian government, and the voluntary return of Syrians to their homes." It pointed out that on June 15, 42 Syrian families, consisting of 178 people, left the Al-Hol camp in the Hasaka countryside, returning to their original communities in various parts of Syria. The embassy explained that this organized return was carried out with the support of the United States, and in coordination with the camp administration and local authorities.
Reuters reported that US forces withdrew from two additional bases in northeastern Syria. The Reuters correspondent, who visited the two bases last week, said they were mostly deserted and guarded by small units of the "Syrian Democratic Forces." Reuters quoted a Kurdish politician residing in one of the bases as saying that there were no longer any American forces, while guards affiliated with the "SDF" at the second base confirmed that the American forces had recently left, but they refused to specify the time of departure. Thus, the number of American bases that the forces have left in Syria since the American President, Trump, took office has risen to at least four.
The United States of America called on the Syrian government to take a series of political and security steps, most notably starting talks with the Jewish entity in preparation for a non-aggression agreement, and expelling the armed Palestinian factions from Syrian territory. In a speech during the Security Council session on Syria, on Tuesday, the US Ambassador to the United Nations, Dorothy Shea, said that Washington has begun a "new era" in its relations with Syria, following the "meeting" that brought together the American President, Trump, with the legal President, adding that "the United States is currently working to end the sanctions imposed on Syria." The US Ambassador to the United Nations identified a number of demands that the Syrian government must adhere to in the next stage, which are: entering into talks with the Jewish entity to reach a non-aggression agreement, followed by opening the file of border demarcation, and submitting a clear plan regarding the foreign fighters present on Syrian territory, and taking immediate measures to ban and deport the armed Palestinian factions, and continuing cooperation with the United States in operations against the "State" organization, within the framework of the "International Coalition," and submitting a plan to assume responsibility for the detention centers of "ISIS" elements in northeastern Syria, which are currently under the control of the "Syrian Democratic Forces."
Russia confirmed the continuation of contacts with the Syrian government regarding its military bases in Syria and ensuring their survival after the fall of the Assad regime. Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said that dialogue is continuing with Syria on all issues on the table, adding: "There are no radical changes in the current situation to date." In an interview with the Russian "Tass" agency, he pointed out that Moscow expects, "on the basis of logic and mutual responsibility, that its national interests will be protected, including military bases."
On the 93rd day of resuming the war of extermination on the Gaza Strip, the occupation's warplanes continued to bomb areas of the Strip, as Gaza hospitals reported the martyrdom of 47 Palestinians since dawn. Medical sources in Al-Awda Hospital and Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital said that 14 Palestinians were martyred and more than 100 were injured, in the targeting of civilians by the occupation forces who were waiting to receive aid near the Netzarim axis in the central Gaza Strip. In contrast, Hebrew news websites reported that fierce clashes are taking place in the Gaza Strip, and that the occupation forces were subjected to a "difficult security event," and the landing of a rescue plane was monitored in "Ichilov" hospital. A Palestinian was martyred, on Wednesday, by the occupation army's bullets in the town of Al-Walaja in Bethlehem, south of the occupied West Bank, while the army stormed the Balata refugee camp and began converting homes into military barracks.
The Land Caravan of Steadfastness to break the siege on the Gaza Strip announced today, Wednesday, the start of its departure from Libya and return to Tunisia after the release of the last person of the caravan members who were detained by the authorities in eastern Libya. On Tuesday, the caravan stressed in a statement that it would not return from Libya to Tunisia except with the return of all detainees from the caravan activists, noting that Haftar's authorities in Libya were holding 3 Libyans. The spokesman confirmed that the three Libyans were released at dawn today.
On the sixth day of the war between the Jewish entity and Iran, US officials said that the meeting of US President Trump with his national security team did not result in a decision to launch an attack on Iran, while Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei said that his country would respond strongly to the "Zionist entity" and would never bargain with it. Earlier, Trump said that his patience with Iran was running out and called on it to surrender, and Trump said today: I may strike Iranian nuclear facilities and I may not do so, and Iran should have negotiated with us earlier, adding that the matter (of negotiations) is too late, but there is still time to stop the war. Trump considered that Iran no longer has any air defenses and I do not know how long they will hold out, and Tel Aviv has completely controlled Iran's airspace and is doing well. Trump stressed: The Iranians have contacted us and I am tired of this situation and I want their unconditional surrender, and the Iranians are facing a real problem and they have suggested coming to the White House. Trump stressed: The next week will be decisive regarding Iran and this may happen before the end of the week. While the Hebrew Channel 12 reported that estimates in Tel Aviv say that the United States may join the war on Iran soon. Iran launched dozens of missiles that targeted the Greater Tel Aviv area, and huge explosions were heard in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv, according to Hebrew media. The Revolutionary Guard said that it used the first generation of "Fattah" missiles in the 11th wave of Operation True Promise 3, adding that its operation "represents the beginning of the end of the air defense myth of the Zionist army." While the Prime Minister of the Jewish entity, Benjamin Netanyahu, vowed to eliminate the Iranian missile and nuclear threat, the head of the National Security Council of the entity, Tzachi Hanegbi, confirmed that the military operation would not end before attacking the Fordow facility. In a related context, the Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, Abdul Rahim Mousavi, stated that their previous operations against Tel Aviv were deterrent and they will carry out their punitive operations against it soon. He called on the residents of the occupied territories, especially in Tel Aviv and Haifa, to leave them to preserve their lives.
