The American envoy is working on drafting the new Syria
US Envoy to Syria Tom Barrack visited Damascus on 2025/7/8 and met Syrian President Ahmed al-Shara and the commander of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) Mazloum Abdi. The US envoy said after the meeting "The Syrian Democratic Forces are slow to respond in joining the government. There is only one path ahead of them that passes through Damascus, and the Syrian government has done a wonderful job in offering options to the SDF" (Al Jazeera).
The American envoy has become the person working on drafting the new Syria under the leadership of Ahmed al-Shara, and he is going back and forth from his center in Ankara as the US ambassador to it and as the official in charge of the Syrian file. Ahmed al-Shara has become obedient to his will in coordination with Turkey, which has won him over to America's servitude.
That is why the American envoy is pressing the SDF commander to implement the agreement that was signed between him and the Syrian President on 2025/3/10, which was described as a historic agreement, as it stipulated "a comprehensive ceasefire and the integration of the SDF's civilian and military institutions within the Syrian state, including crossings, airports and oil fields. The agreement guarantees the rights of all Syrians to participate politically without discrimination, and the two parties pledged to secure the return of the displaced and fight the remnants of the Bashar al-Assad regime and reject any attempts at division or sedition, provided that the agreement is fully implemented before the end of this year".
America rejects the SDF's conditions and asks it to abandon them with regard to the system of decentralization and to maintain the independence of its political entity. It is known that America is the one who founded the SDF and armed it to fight the Islamic State organization and those seeking to establish Islamic rule in Syria, but now it wants to end its role as it ends the role of any agent when it is no longer needed, and perhaps it will give it a job as a reward. In this way, it wants to integrate the SDF into the Syrian regime led by Ahmed al-Shara because it has guaranteed its subordination, so there is no longer a need for an independent SDF or to divide the country into federations or cantons.
