Syria begs America to include it in the global economy
Anatolia, 2025/9/19 - In an unprecedented visit of supplication, the Syrian Foreign Minister, Asaad Al-Shaibani, discussed with American parliamentarians and officials the lifting of sanctions imposed on his country and building a new chapter in relations with Washington, in the first visit of a Syrian Foreign Minister to the United States in 25 years.
This came during a series of meetings held by Al-Shaibani, on Thursday and Friday, which included a number of members of the American House of Representatives and Senate, in addition to Deputy Foreign Minister Christopher Landau. This comes in light of the policy of supplication pursued by the new Syrian government. The meetings in Washington included senior American extremists in supporting the Jewish entity, such as Senator Lindsey Graham, where Al-Shaibani discussed with him "bilateral relations and the lifting of US sanctions imposed on Syria," those relations that can only be strengthened to the extent of the concessions that the Sharia government will offer to the Jewish entity and the steps it is taking towards normalization with it.
US President Donald Trump had signed an executive order ending the sanctions imposed by America on Syria, and this was followed by an announcement by several European countries.
The Syrian News Agency "SANA" quoted the chairman of the US Senate Foreign Relations Committee, Senator Jim Risch, as saying that "Syria today has an opportunity to build a stable democracy" after his meeting with Al-Shaibani. Risch added that he discussed with Al-Shaibani "the necessary steps to ensure Syria's involvement in the global economy."

The Security Council reimposes sanctions on Iran
Arab 48, 2025/9/19 - The UN Security Council failed, on Friday evening, to adopt a draft resolution to extend the lifting of international sanctions on Iran, thus agreeing to reimpose them. The Security Council agreed to reimpose sanctions on Iran because of its nuclear program, after Germany, France and Britain activated the "trigger mechanism" stipulated in the 2015 agreement.
In late August, the three European countries that are members of the agreement activated the mechanism known as "snap back," which allows the reimposition of sanctions on Iran against the backdrop of its non-compliance with the terms of the agreement, from which America unilaterally withdrew in 2018.
This position from these countries hostile to Muslims comes despite Iran being subjected to a fierce military campaign carried out by the Jewish entity and America to demolish its nuclear program less than three months ago, but the hostility of these countries to Islam and Muslims makes them impose sanctions on Islamic countries and do not impose similar sanctions on the Jewish entity, which, with their support, is deeply involved in the blood of Muslims in Gaza, Lebanon, Syria and other places.
