Sudanese News: The People of El Fasher Between the Hammer of War and the Anvil of Hunger, and Their Salvation Lies Only in the State of the Caliphate - Press Release from Hizb ut-Tahrir, Wilayah Sudan
The city of El Fasher, the capital of North Darfur State, is witnessing a real humanitarian catastrophe amidst battles between the warring parties, where dozens of civilians have been killed in the past few days, while residents have been suffering from a suffocating siege for more than a year and deliberate starvation, amid a suspicious international silence, as the United Nations confirmed the death of at least 89 people in clashes in recent days.
What is happening to our people in El Fasher, of killing, terrorizing, and starving, is an abhorrent matter in Islamic law, and an unforgivable crime. Even if the Rapid Support Forces bear its sin, as they are the ones besieging the civilians, bombing them with their cannons, and preventing them from food and water, the responsibility of the state is greater, as it is responsible for its subjects, according to his saying ﷺ: "The Imam who is over the people is a shepherd and is responsible for his flock." It is also responsible for providing food, shelter, and security, according to his saying, peace and blessings be upon him: "Whoever among you wakes up secure in his home, healthy in his body, and has his daily sustenance, it is as if he has been given the whole world." However, the state has abandoned its responsibility and is begging the United Nations and its organizations. Prime Minister Kamel Idris said that he had asked the Security Council to use its legal authority to end the ongoing siege of El Fasher for more than 500 days, knowing that the responsibility is his. Moreover, the United Nations, through its Security Council, issued Resolution 2736 on June 13, 2024, with the support of 14 members and Russia abstaining from voting, adopting a resolution demanding that the Rapid Support Forces stop their siege of El Fasher, the capital of North Darfur State in Sudan, and calling for an immediate cessation of fighting, de-escalation in and around El Fasher, and the withdrawal of all fighters threatening the safety and security of civilians. This resolution has not been implemented despite the passage of more than a year since its issuance! This confirms that the party managing the war does not want this siege to end until El Fasher falls, so that all of Darfur is purely in the hands of the Rapid Support Forces, and ready for secession, as desired by America, which plans to divide Sudan into five small states, and has started with South Sudan.
The government must immediately deploy all its armies to break the siege of El Fasher, and follow that with convoys of food and medicine, as this is what the right of care requires legally, and it is also what is required to thwart America's plan to separate Darfur.
O our people in Sudan: The radical cure for all our tragedies in every part of our country, but rather the cure that eradicates the roots of the infidel West from our country, and thwarts the conspiracies of America and the colonial countries seeking to tear Sudan apart, the cure for all of that is the principle of Islam, applied by its state, the Caliphate, according to the method of Prophethood.
So come and work with Hizb ut-Tahrir to establish the second righteous Caliphate according to the method of Prophethood; your Lord's obligation and the source of your glory.
