A Stand with the Celebration of the Anniversary of the Two September Revolutions

One of Which Introduced Secularism to Yemen, and the Other Calls for Its Consolidation!

In September of each year, Yemen coincides with two occasions; the first in 9/26/1962 AD, which is the anniversary of the overthrow of the monarchy in northern Yemen, and the second in 9/21/2014 AD, which is the anniversary of the Houthis' entry into Sana'a, which led to their control of the northern governorates.

The first occasion is taken by the so-called legitimacy - specifically the Conference Party, the Yemeni Islah Gathering, and the rest of the parties allied with them - and their media mouthpieces and followers, as a source of attack on the Houthi movement and a call for people to revolt against them, considering them an extension of the Imamate rule before 1962 AD. The strange irony is that the 1962 revolution did not save the people of Yemen but rather surrendered them to the infidel West.

As for the second occasion; the anniversary of the Houthis' entry into Sana'a, which they now celebrate every year, it did not result in the implementation of Islam but rather followed the path of its predecessor in implementing the secular republican system, and raised Islam as a slogan only under the name of the Quranic march!

In these two occasions, a media uproar rises, and it is our duty in the Media Office of Hizb ut-Tahrir in Wilayah Yemen to clear its dust for the people of faith and wisdom. In what do the two revolutions meet, and do they differ?!

The two revolutions glorify the Sykes-Picot borders, which drew and solidified the borders between Yemen, Hejaz, the Levant, Iraq, Egypt, Algeria...etc. of the Muslim lands, which remained under the single banner of the Muslims, despite the state to which the Caliphate had reached and was described as the sick man, meaning it sanctified the decadent national bond that tore the Ummah apart and prevents it today, in light of the massacres and bloodshed, from supporting its sons in the blessed land of Palestine. Today, the Ummah yearns to uproot the Jews, and what prevents it is these national borders that the infidel West planted between them. Allah Almighty said: ﴿THE BELIEVERS ARE BUT BROTHERS﴾. And Allah Almighty has forbidden division among Muslims, saying: ﴿AND HOLD FAST TO THE ROPE OF ALLAH ALL TOGETHER AND DO NOT BE DIVIDED﴾. We are one Ummah apart from other people, and the bond that binds us must be the Islamic creed under one state and one ruler.

The two revolutionary factions raise the flag of Sykes-Picot, sanctify it and glorify it, and it serves colonialism, whether they know it or not, and they prosecute whoever throws it on the ground, and it is a Western colonial legislation. This flag, which the two sides sanctify, is a flag of ignorant, blind partisanship that does not represent Muslims and does not emanate from the Islamic creed, but rather the two sides worked to instill sanctity for it in the generations. Muslims in Yemen must realize that the Sykes-Picot flag is a hateful, ignorant, partisan banner from the remnants of colonialism, from raising it and calling for it, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ warned us, saying ﷺ: «LEAVE IT, FOR IT IS FOUL», and he said: «HE IS NOT ONE OF US WHO CALLS TO FANATICISM». In contrast, the Islamic State has banners and flags; the banner is white with the inscription "There is no god but Allah, Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah" in black, where «THE PROPHET ﷺ ENTERED MAKKAH ON THE DAY OF THE CONQUEST AND HIS BANNER WAS WHITE» narrated by Ibn Majah from the route of Jabir, and the flag is black with the inscription "There is no god but Allah, Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah" in white, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: «I WILL GIVE THE FLAG TOMORROW TO A MAN WHO LOVES ALLAH AND HIS MESSENGER, AND ALLAH AND HIS MESSENGER LOVE HIM, SO HE GAVE IT TO ALI» Agreed upon. Did the Messenger ﷺ give Ali the Sykes-Picot flag?!

The first revolution separated religion from life, and the second maintained that separation, and did not return to the origin of Islam, a religion that is not separated from the state. Rather, they made the country languish under the weight of the United Nations, the sponsor of the secular system. The deceased Ali Saleh deafened our ears, and today the so-called legitimacy in all its spectra, by working with the charters of the United Nations, and what al-Alimi said in a speech on Thursday, 9/25/2025 at the United Nations (.. you and we have pledged together that this institution will be faithful to human dignity, and the right of peoples to live in dignity, security, development, and peace... He added that the time has come to launch an international alliance that liberates Yemen from terrorism). With this, he described the United Nations, knowing that it is a criminal partner in all the misfortunes that have befallen Yemen and the rest of the Muslim countries and what is happening today in Gaza. In contrast, Mahdi Al-Mashat called on Tuesday, 06/17/2025 AD, saying: "There is no international charter that authorizes anyone to unleash his rabid dog on whomever he wants. The United Nations Charter is the contract that regulates the relations of states, and we will not allow it to be violated." This is a call, and an explicit invitation, to cast aside the law of Allah and resort to Taghut, of whom Allah said: ﴿HAVE YOU NOT SEEN THOSE WHO CLAIM TO HAVE BELIEVED IN WHAT WAS REVEALED TO YOU, [O MUHAMMAD], AND WHAT WAS REVEALED BEFORE YOU? THEY WISH TO REFER JUDGMENT TO TAAGHUT, WHILE THEY WERE COMMANDED TO REJECT HIM; AND SHITAN WISHES TO MISLEAD THEM FAR ASTRAY﴾, and it would have sufficed him to respond to His saying: ﴿BUT THOSE WHO HAVE AVOIDED TAAQHUT, AS NOT TO WORSHIP IT, AND TURNED BACK TO ALLAH - FOR THEM ARE GOOD TIDINGS. SO GIVE GOOD TIDINGS TO MY WORSHIPERS﴾.

Islam is a clear and explicit creed; there is no god but Allah, Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, from which a system emerges that regulates all aspects of political and economic life, international relations...etc., and its flag is the Eagle. The state of Islam included Najd, Hejaz, Yemen, Iraq, Egypt and the Levant, and expanded until it reached Andalusia in the west, Indonesia in the east, Chechnya and Crimea in the north, and the Sahara in the south, surpassing the decadent national, ethnic, and racial ties. All those ties were put in place to divide the Muslims, and prevent them from uniting under the command of one Caliph, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: «IF ALLEGIANCE IS PLEDGED TO TWO CALIPHS, KILL THE LATTER OF THEM» and sovereignty must be for Sharia, and authority for the Ummah, which it places in the hands of whoever it pledges allegiance to on the basis of ruling by Islam under the second Rightly Guided Caliphate according to the method of Prophethood. Allah Almighty said: ﴿INDEED, WE WILL SUPPORT OUR MESSENGERS AND THOSE WHO BELIEVE DURING THIS WORLDLY LIFE AND ON THE DAY WHEN THE WITNESSES WILL STAND﴾, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: «THEN THERE WILL BE A CALIPHATE ACCORDING TO THE METHOD OF PROPHETHOOD». So beware, O people of faith, of following every caller.
