The democracy marketed to Muslim countries by the infidel West is a system of disbelief that has no connection to Islam, neither closely nor distantly. It contradicts the rulings of Islam entirely, in its principles, its details, its source, the ideology from which it originated, the foundation upon which it is based, and in the ideas and systems it brings. Therefore, it is strictly forbidden for Muslims to adopt, implement, or advocate for it. Democracy is a system of governance devised by humans to get rid of the oppression of rulers and their control over people in the name of religion. It is a system of human origin and has no relation to revelation or religion. Its origin lies in the fact that rulers in Europe claimed that the ruler is God's agent on earth, so he rules people with God's authority, and they claimed that God is the one who gave the ruler the power of legislation and the power of execution, that is, the power to rule people by the law that he legislates, because he derives his authority from God, not from the people. So they oppressed the people and controlled them, just as the master controls his slave in the name of this claim. A conflict arose between them and the people, and philosophers and thinkers arose, and they researched the subject of governance, and they developed a system for governing people—the democratic system—in which the people are the source of power, so the ruler derives his authority from them, and they—the people—have sovereignty, so they own their will, and they exercise it themselves, and they manage it according to their will, and no one has authority over them. So he is the master, and he is the one who enacts the legislation by which he rules and proceeds, and he is the one who appoints the ruler to rule him on his behalf according to the legislation that the people enact. Therefore, the democratic system is entirely of human origin and has no relation to revelation or religion.
